Shibamata Taishakuten (Daikyo-ji)
A temple dating back to the Edo period, famous for the intricate wood carvings around its main hall.
In Katsushika, the same ward as our three homes, Shibamata is the setting of the film series “Otoko wa Tsurai yo”. The approach to Taishakuten Temple is lined with old shops selling kusa-dango and rice crackers — a glimpse of traditional downtown Tokyo.
